God of all

a story told by my principal:

there was this teacher who taught in a primary3 class.
one day, she told her class to close their eyes and pray.
as kids, they prayed for candies!
when they opened their eyes, they saw no candy.
now, the teacher told them to class their eyes again.
this time, instead of praying to God, 'pray' to the teacher.
once again, they 'prayed' for candies.
this time, when they opened their eyes, candies appeared on their tables.

morale of the story?
directly quoted from mr koh, "teachers are god."

what rubbish.
he also said teachers are angels sent by God.
that sounded better.

there's only one God.
the God of all living and dead.
the God of all universe.
the God of all creatures.
the God of all.

Praise be to You, O Lord.
God of our father Isreal,
from everlasting to everlasting.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.

Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom;
You are exalted as Head over all.
Wealth and honor come from You;
You are the Ruler of all things.

In Your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.

Now, our God, we give You thanks,
and praise Your glorious name.
